Theater HauntsTheater Haunts-
Up the spiral staircase,
And beyond the funny faces,
I slip up the ladder,
Leaving behind simply no traces.
My heart races as I rise higher and higher,
I can only think of one thing,
Every step becomes more silent,
While I ponder of what trouble this adventure could bring.
When I make it to the top,
I walk around in a daze,
As I admire how high up I am,
I smile with much amaze.
While i'm standing up on that narrow bridge,
I look down at the stage,
No one can see me,
I am as unnoticed as an empty page.
I make my way down,
Not as quiet this time,
Rushing to get out of there,
Hurrying to stop this fierce crime.
I slam the door shut,
And gape as I see,
My worst fear come true,
A teacher walking towards me.
I innocently look around,
As if I was doing nothing wrong,
While the teacher comes up to me,
And gets ready to give me what I needed all along.
She tells me to leave,
As her theater class is about to begin,
I tell her "of course",
And leave with a grin.
Somehow, I got out of it ok,
Somehow i'm still alive,
I lived to tell the tale,
But next time I must remember not to take such a dive.
A lesson was well learned that day,
That is for sure,
Adventures can be fun,
And make life less of a bore.
But if you ever decide to be adventurous,
And do some daring things,
Just rememer the fun involved,
And the memories it can bring. :]
